Monthly Donor Fundraising
The Christian English School of Torino (CES-to) will be providing excellent Christian education to a number of families in Torino. Some of these families will be able to afford the cost of this education, but some, especially from the immigrant community, will not be able to send their children to this Christian education opportunity unless they can receive some financial assistance. Monthly supporters will be necessary not only to provide for the initial start-up costs for the school, but then also on a continuing basis to provide tuition assistance to needy families. Contact will be necessary to various potential contributors using telephone calls, email, and text messages. These contacts will abide by the CES-to’s fundraising mission which focuses on relationships orientation and transformational.
– A sociable personality with the Christ-confidence to be comfortable and secure with successful professionals and businessmen;
– The ability to effectively present the vision and needs of the school in a clear and convincing manner;
– The ability to use modern video communication technology and the ability to communicate effectively over the telephone and email.
– The organization skills to be able to routinely communicate with approximately 20 – 30 potential major donors.
– Become familiar with and fully embrace the mission and vision of the Christian English School of Torino, and become proficient in presenting this in a short amount of time, and extended times together with potential major donors.
– Contact potential major donors, initially with a founding board member of CES-to, in order to present the mission and vision of the school, asking if they understand and embrace the mission and vision, and then asking if they would prayerfully consider uniting with CES-to and investing in work that God is doing through the school in Italy.
– Being willing to ask for referrals to others who might be interested in hearing about the ministry of CES-to, first asking them to contact the potential referral to ensure that it is OK for us to contact them, ideally with the linking relationship present on the video call.
– Invite potential major donors, and ideally personally participate, in the school opening event in Italy in early September 2024.
– Assuming 24 monthly donors, and a contact rate of about once every 6-months, there would be an estimated 48 contacts per year, which would be about 4 per month.
– The average time for a contact would be approximately 30 minutes each, some being just a follow-up email or a short call, and others being a longer video call.
– With these assumptions, it is estimated that the time commitment would be approximately 3 hours per month.
– The trip to Italy in September 2024 would obviously be more than this, but could be combined with a planned vacation to different parts of Italy.
