Foundations –
Biblical / Academic
When our children are flourishing, they are healthy, strong and can overcome challenges in their lives. CES-to is committed to providing a flourishing environment for students, families, teachers, administrators and helpers.
Our vision for education rests upon three foundational principles – that we are called to flourish, we need to be interconnected with parents and churches to flourish, and we need to be committed to providing a flourishing environmental in all that we do.
Resources for parents
We also believe that to truly flourish, we must be feeding on God’s Word and abiding in the True Vine, Jesus. This should happen both as school and at home. We all need this daily nourishment and source of life – students, teachers, and parents. Therefore, CES-to is committed to providing “Resources for Parents” to help nurture a flourishing environment not only at school, but also in the home.
“They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots to the stream.” (Jeremiah 17:8)
Multi-level learning school
In the initial years, multi-level learning will be utilized. The advantages to multi-level learning include the fact that younger students benefit from learning from older students, and older students benefit from being able to help the younger students understand the principles and ideas being taught. Full comprehension of a principle is achieved when students can explain it to others. Multi-level learning school settings have shown good results in various types of schools. While there are many advantages to multi-level teaching, not all subjects will be taught in multi-level groups. Students will have math and language arts taught at their specific levels to ensure continued progress and learning.
Accreditations
Accreditation is the means whereby schools demonstrate their commitment to high standards of academic quality. It provides parents and other others in the community a quick and easy way to look at a school and know that it is proactively engaged in actions that are going to maintain educational quality, and continue to improve it over time. CES-to is committed to becoming a fully-accredited school within a number of different accreditation associations, both Christian and non-Christian.
In the initial years, as a parental school, students will be evaluated annually by the regional academic system. Accreditation by outside associations requires a few years of experience, but from the beginning, CES-to will be working with the Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI) to begin implementing the systems and requirements for their accreditation.
Non-Christian accreditations will also be pursued as appropriate, such as the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the Cambridge International Assessment, and the Council of International Schools.

As these other accreditations are received, CES-to will be fully recognized and certified by other non-Italian accrediting associations, moving the school from an Italian parental school to other recognized educational systems which will allow graduates to be fully prepared for university with recognized educational credentials for any university in Italy or other countries.
