Job Summary:

These days social media is so important in communicating your story and helping people understand how you are impacting those you are involved with.  These days, different social media platforms are used by different generations.  Therefore, the Social Media Manager for the Christian English School of Torino will be setting up, managing, replying and updating the various social media platforms to effectively represent the school and help our friends stay informed.

Skills Required:

·       Ideally someone who is passionate about Christian education and who understands the power and effectiveness of social media, who has the ability to work across the various social media platforms;

·       The ability to effectively communicate and write short and interesting messages without (or with minimal) grammatical errors;

·       The ability to use both telephone and computer in their social media exchanges;

·       The wisdom necessary to monitor the social medial platforms for the glory of God, without being negative of policies or people who might not embrace the Christian / Biblical perspectives or values; and

·       The ability to write short Biblical truth nuggets to encourage the audience to see Christian education from a positive Biblical perspective.

Job Description:

·        Decide what are the best and most effective social media platforms to represent the Christian English School of Torino (CES-to) in North America;

·       To establish CES-to accounts for each of the appropriate social media platforms;

·       To select and install the proper visuals to be included in the social media platforms;

·       To promote the various social media platforms to the friends of CES-to, encouraging them to pass on their interest to their friends and family;

·       To link the various social media platforms to one another and to the CES-to website.

·       To routinely add information and stories to the various social media accounts for the school;

·       To monitor the social media platforms to ensure that it continues to properly represent the best interests of the CES-to and its friends.

·       Communicate with the Communications / Social Media representative for the CES-to in Italy to obtain information and stories to be included in the various posts.

 

Estimated Time Required:

There are two aspects to this service role, one is the establishment and set-up of the various social media platforms, and the second is the routine maintenance of the social media accounts.

·       It is estimated that it might require 20 or 30 hours to establish and set-up the various social media accounts, but this is a one-time event and does not have a specific timeline.

·       Once the social media accounts are established across the various social media platforms, it is estimated that about 2 hours per week might be necessary to maintain the accounts.
