Feasibility Study
In early 2022 a Task Team was developed with the purpose of performing a Feasibility Study to determine the interest level within the Christian community of Torino, to assess various start-up strategies and plans, and to estimate the annual cost per child. Existing schools in Italy and Europe were interviewed, and a survey of families was performed. Parents are interested, but are naturally concerned about costs and location. Christian and character-based education is the most significant interest for the families, but they also prefer educational experiences that incorporate nature and the outdoors.
Accreditation of the school is a high priority but will require a number of years to receive. Collaboration with families and churches is a core value; therefore, establishing partnering churches is a high priority.
Realizing the various beliefs among Christian and churches, unity will be centered around a Statement of Faith that is limited to the essential elements of the Gospel.
A Review Team which consisted of pastors and families from Torino and also educational professionals in Italy, Europe and the United States was developed. The comments from the Review Team are summarized in Section 15 of the Feasibility Study. A joint online meeting with the Task Team and the Review Team was held on September 24, 2022. The objectives of this time together were to pray for God’s will and leading, and also to receive any final comments.
