Next Informational Update and Prayer Meetings:
11 April, 2024 from 19:30 – 20:30
Location: International Church of Torino in Via Principessa Clotilde, 95A, Torino (Enter from the courtyard)
Informational Picnic on 4 May 2024 at park across the street from the school location.
Members of the CES-to Task Team and Review Team met on September 24, 2022 to pray and discuss God’s will for the future. As a result, the Christian English School of Torino has been established as a non-profit “Associazione ente di terzo settore”, ETS. Relationships with partnering churches are being developed. Without excluding the possibility of beginning in September 2023, because of the time necessary to recruit good teachers and the importance of starting with a solid foundation, the beginning will more likely be in 2024.
Our prayer is that CES-to would be like a refreshing and nourishing basket of good figs to a truth-starved world (the word “cesto” means “basket” in Italian). In Jeremiah 24, God gives an example of two baskets of figs, one luscious, fresh and ripe, and the other putrid and rotten. This is symbolic of God re-establishing His people after their exile, and how God set His eyes for good on them, planting and building them with a heart to know Him as Lord. Our prayer is that CES-to would be a basket of good figs.
Similar to the contrast of the good and rotten figs in Jeremiah 24 is the battle for truth in the world. The Apostle Paul said in Romans chapter 1 that some, in their unrighteousness, desire to suppress the truth, exchanging the truth of God for a lie. The battle for truth has been raging for generations, but has intensified these days in regards to our children’s minds.
Education for the masses has its roots in Christianity which gave birth to higher educational systems of universities. Today’s educational system has been hijacked by anti-Biblical philosophies. The molding of the minds and hearts of youth are the building blocks of cultural transformation. In order to stem today’s cultural decline from Biblical truths, it is critical that Christian families build on the solid ROCK of Jesus and God’s Word. The Christian English School of Torino will help build this solid foundation for generations of families and children.
