Foundations – Biblical / Academic

When our children are flourishing, they are healthy, strong and can overcome challenges in their lives.  CES-to is committed to providing a flourishing environment for students, families, teachers, administrators and helpers.  Our vision for education rests upon three foundational principles – that we are called to flourish, we need to be interconnected with parents and churches to flourish, and we need to be committed to providing a flourishing environmental in all that we do.

“They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots to the stream.”  (Jeremiah 17:8)

We also believe that to truly flourish, we must be feeding on God’s Word and abiding in the True Vine, Jesus.  This should happen both as school and at home.  We all need this daily nourishment and source of life – students, teachers, and parents.  Therefore, CES-to is committed to providing “Resources for Parents” to help nurture a flourishing environment not only at school, but also in the home.

A well-established Christian school curriculum which incorporates a Christian worldview will be used, such as:

In the initial years, multi-level learning will be utilized.  The advantages to multi-level learning include the fact that younger students benefit from learning from older students, and older students benefit from being able to help the younger students understand the principles and ideas being taught.  Full comprehension of a principle is achieved when students can explain it to others.  Multi-level learning school settings have shown good results in various types of schools.  While there are many advantages to multi-level teaching, not all subjects will be taught in multi-level groups.  Students will have math and language arts taught at their specific levels to ensure continued progress and learning.
